As it was already explained,
the Carnauba leaves after drying present flakes and/or
powder of the waxy material that recover them in order to
give protection against dehydration. The leaves are then mechanically
beaten in order to free the waxy material that is either processed
at the countryside to be sold as a coarse wax to the refineries
or it is sold as powder to the refiners. As a matter of principle
and mainly for our special grades of waxes, we prefer to buy
the powder that was never before cooked under direct fire
as it is the wax that is processed at the hinterland.
Carnauba wax is used all over the
world in many and different applications. Yellow waxes have
many usages as in the cosmetic industry, car polishes making,
paper and packaging industries, enamels,

special paints, confessionary
industry, pharmaceutical production either as an external
polishing agent or as an ingredient in microencapsulated controlled
release pharmaceutical drugs, and many other usages as for
the production of anionic emulsions of large usages. This
grade is particularly clear and micronized powder of it are
nearly white.
Carnauba waxes’ emulsions combine
very easily with other emulsions made from microcrystalline
waxes, paraffins, polyethilenes, EAA (ester of acrylic acid)
and other polymers.
As it is well detected a tendency of the markets to use each
time more the light colored grades of Carnauba waxes
our offer express our understanding of such a tendency and
our wish to meet it.
